Commissions

I work with collectors, curators, and interior designers to create statement ceramics tailored to their spaces and projects. Each commission is an opportunity to translate my signature blend of cultural influences, textures, and forms into a piece that feels intentional and enduring.

Every commissioned work is made entirely by hand in my Dubai studio — slowly built, refined, and finished with patience. Glazes are applied in carefully layered coats to create depth and character, before each piece is fired and completed. This considered process means commissions can take up to three months from concept to completion, ensuring the work you receive is as lasting as it is distinctive.

Inspiration & Personalisation

A commissioned piece can be more than a statement object - it can carry personal meaning. I often draw inspiration from specific landscapes, textures, and materials that resonate with my clients. This might be the colour palette of a beloved city, the form of a favourite architectural detail, or even physical materials like sand from a memorable beach or minerals from a place that holds significance.

These details are carefully considered and, where possible, incorporated into the surface or structure of the work. The result is a piece that not only complements its surroundings but also tells a story that is uniquely yours.

The Commission Process

1. Inquiry

Get in touch with details about your project — including dimensions, intended space, and any visual or thematic references you’d like me to consider.

2. Design Direction

I’ll propose a design direction based on your brief and my artistic style, ensuring the final work complements your space while retaining the individuality of a hand-crafted piece.

3. Crafting

Each work is slowly built by hand — whether wheel-thrown or hand-built — then refined, glazed in gentle layers, and fired to its final form. This stage alone can take several weeks, as the process cannot be rushed.

4. Completion & Delivery

Once your piece is finished, I’ll arrange safe delivery or collection. Depending on scale and complexity, the full process can take up to three months from the initial brief to the final handover.
