From the Studio Samples collection — a one-of-a-kind piece shaped by hand in latte-buff stoneware. Salt Moss brings together two elemental extremes: the parched stillness of Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni salt flats and the lush, saturated greens of Louisiana’s bayous.

Each represents a different chapter in the cycle of water — the salt flats at the height of evaporation, where moisture has long vanished, and the bayous in a state of abundance, where water lingers and life flourishes. The barely-there white glaze recalls the sun-bleached crust of endless salt, while mottled olive patches echo the damp, tangled mosses of slow-moving waters. Together, they form a quiet balance of opposites — dry and wet, brittle and soft, stillness and life — fused in a single form.
