Terra and Tuba: I

Lines speaks to the threads that tie people and place together. These are family lines passed through generations, coastlines and homelands that remain part of us, and the roads and streets that connect a growing city. They are also the lines of ambition - shared hopes for a better life and future. In Dubai, these lines intersect, overlap, and are reshaped into something new.

 

This exhibition, opening in November, presents eight ceramic works inspired by those connections. Each piece is formed through coiling - long lines of clay rolled, woven, and joined into unity. The technique mirrors the idea of separate paths coming together, fragile yet strong. Collectively, the works are an ode to legacy and heritage, to Dubai as a melting pot of cultures, and to the creation of home in a place where many stories converge.
